Terra Running Company Moves to New Location in Downtown Cleveland

The Go-To Place for Runners in Cleveland TN

Terra Running Company, a local running specialty store for shoes, apparel, hydration, and nutrition, has been helping prepare runners and hikers pursue an active lifestyle since February of 2016. Owned and operated by a family of lifelong runners, Brittany and David Durkin, the store not only equips people to lead healthy lifestyles, but also helps dozens of local organizations plan running events in the area, including the Cleveland Half Marathon and the Tall Betsy 6k.

The store’s relocation was inspired by the desire to be a part of Cleveland’s strong downtown culture.

“We pride ourselves in being a big part of the community”, said Brittany, “our whole business model is supporting runners throughout the whole cycle from getting started to doing races… and we can do that more easily from this location.”

Though the building was built in the late 1880’s, the Durkins tried to maintain the original aspects that made it unique and beautiful. With the original floors refurbished, the ceilings sanded, and bricks re-exposed, the new store is now stocked and open for business.

Ever since Terra Running Co. opened two years ago, runners began meeting in the downtown area for races. This new location streamlines the whole process and will serve as a meeting space for the active community.

We asked Brittany what made this retail store special, and she said, “ we help people throughout the whole cycle and that is beyond retail and something that cannot be replaced online.”

If you’re a runner or interested in the revitalization of downtown Cleveland, you should check out their new store location at 90 North Ocoee St. in downtown Cleveland.
